The “Beefcake” Classic Boys volleyball tournament will debut on tonight at 7 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. Several girls on the team approached their coach, Katelyn Sallee, to do something that would build school spirit and foster class unity.
After discussing the possibility of beginning an intramural program, the decision was made to host a yearly school wide event for charity. The proceeds from this year’s event will go to Jeff Schneider and his girls.

"We are so excited for our girls to take some ownership of this event. This gives them a chance to involve the student body in the sport they love and also allows them to bless others through the funds we will raise in the process," said Sallee. "The Schneider family is heavy on our hearts as they begin to transition through this difficult season. As a program, we were moved to help in a practical way by contributing to a scholarship fund for Jeff's sweet girls. I'm so very proud of the team as they continue to show their love in action for our community."
The first round will be an epic battle between the juniors and the freshman followed by the senior class against the sophomores. The winners of each round will play in the championship match around 9 p.m. The boys will be coached by the volleyball players from their respective classes. In addition to the matches, there will be games and raffles for the spectators. Concessions will be available as well.
This will be a fun night for students and families. The cost for admission is $1.00 or donation.
