On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 Boone County Sheriff’s detectives took five male juveniles ranging in age from 15 to 17 into custody after a near six month long extensive investigation into the group’s criminal enterprise consisting of a vast array of crimes to include robberies, burglaries, drug sales/use, & stealing and selling guns predominately in the Walton & Richwood areas and up to Florence, Kentucky.

Members of the Fine$$e Gang are *charged with: Engaging in Organized Crime, Robbery 1st degree (3 counts), Burglary 1st degree (2 counts), Burglary 3rd degree (5 counts), Theft of automobile (3 counts), Trafficking in marijuana, Trafficking in Controlled Substances, Gun Trafficking, Receiving Stolen Property under $1,000, Thefts by unlawful taking over $1,000, Thefts of firearms, Assaults, Disorderly Conduct, Terroristic Threatening & Criminal Mischief.

Within the course of this time period, two additional juvenile gang members were apprehended during a burglary in progress.  They were charged with that burglary and incarcerated with additional charges pending.  The investigation is still active with forthcoming charges against additional suspects; both juvenile and adults.

The Fine$$e Gang was established in or around the Fall of 2015 and quickly developed into an organized syndicate.  What ostensibly appeared to be random criminal acts of wayward kids caught the eye of Detective Jeff Miles on January 13, 2016 who structured an investigation using tried & true methods like collecting crime scene evidence and interviewing victims & associates to high-tech procedures.  Miles discovered the organizational structure of the gang and, working in conjunction with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office and the Boone County Attorney’s Office, determined them to be engaged in organized crime.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office is committed to dismantling this gang and any others like them who prey upon our communities.  Det. Miles is requesting assistance from the citizens of Boone County, KY.  Anyone with information pertaining to the Fine$$e Gang is asked to contact him at (859) 334-8476 or via email at jmiles@boonecountyky.org
