This four year scholarship is awarded to one outstanding Highlands High School graduating senior that intends to enter the field of Engineering or Construction Management. This is a $7,500 award over four years given at $1,875 per year as long as the student remains in the field.

According to George Schurr, President of Trenwa, "In 2011 we established this scholarship in gratitude for this excellent school that has given so much to our families. The U.S. is also experiencing a shortage of students entering technical fields, and we want to encourage and support Highlands graduates considering engineering or construction careers."
The funds is with the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the selection process is controlled by a committee at Highlands High School. This is the 6th year for the scholarship.
Owned by the Riggs & Dicken families of Fort Thomas, Trenwa, Inc. is a precast concrete company with offices at the south end of town and manufacturing plants in CO, FL , TX and IN.
