"James Durbin is a huge fan favorite from American Idol, including my own," she said. "Not only is he a true rock star, but he also supports Autism Speaks and really tries to make a difference in society. That's a huge testament to his character. I can't wait for the concert. This family-friendly event is the place to be Friday night. We're going to rock it in the Fort."
Durbin, 27, is an American singer and guitarist from Santa Cruz, California. After auditioning and not making the cut in Season 8 of Idol, Durbin tried again for Season 10 in 2011 where he finished fourth. Keeping to his rock/hard-rock style, he performed on the American Idol Season 10 finale, singing "Livin' After Midnight" and "Breaking the Law" alongside British heavy metal rockers, Judas Priest.
After two successful albums, Durbin released the video for his first single, "Smackdown", in April and announced on Idol's fifteenth season's final episode that his third album, "Riot On Sundown" will be released July 15th.
