Forbes Again Names NKU Among America’s Top Colleges

Rankings measure post-graduate success, return on investment

Northern Kentucky University remains among the nation’s top higher education institutions, according to Forbes Magazine.

For the eighth year, NKU has been included in the magazine’s annual “America’s Top Colleges” rankings, a list of the nation’s top 660 public and private universities as measured by the return students receive on their investment.

The list “is our answer to the debate over whether higher education is worth it,” Forbes wrote in its report. “For these outstanding institutions, we give a resounding yes.”

The rankings focus on student outcomes in five categories: student satisfaction, post-graduate success, student debt, graduation rate and academic success.

“Each day, our dedicated faculty and staff work to ensure that our students have every opportunity to succeed, both on our campus and beyond,” said NKU President Geoffrey S. Mearns. “We are pleased that those efforts have been recognized, and we are honored to once again be ranked among the top colleges in America.”

Rankings are prepared for Forbes by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity in Washington, D.C. NKU has been included in the rankings since 2009. For more information, visit http://www.forbes.com/top-colleges/.
