Name of Car-Crash Fatality Victim on Grand Avenue Released

Dax Pearson, 45 and resident of Dayton, KY was killed in a one-vehicle car crash early Sunday morning in Fort Thomas.

Pearson, according to witnesses, hopped a curb in his late-model Honda traveling southbound on Grand Avenue, before traversing two front yards and finally hitting a tree head-on at the corner of Grand Avenue and Greenwood in Fort Thomas around 1:05 a.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's not clear if drugs or alcohol were a factor, but a toxicology report by the coroner may determine that at a later date.
