UofL student from Fort Thomas earns Grawemeyer Scholarship

University of Louisville freshman Gabrielle Farley is one of ten scholars to receive the 2016 Grawemeyer Scholarship.

The award provides full tuition plus an additional $8,000 per year to cover college-related expenses. The scholarship goes to students interested in undergraduate research. To qualify, Kentucky high school graduates must have a minimum ACT score of 31, or 1420 on the SAT, and a grade point average of 3.75 or better.

Farley, a public health major at UofL’s School of Public Health and Information Sciences, graduated in 2016 from Highlands High School. She is the daughter of Mark and Jean Farley.

Farley was named a 2016 AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Finalist.
