The award provides full tuition plus an additional $8,000 per year to cover college-related expenses. The scholarship goes to students interested in undergraduate research. To qualify, Kentucky high school graduates must have a minimum ACT score of 31, or 1420 on the SAT, and a grade point average of 3.75 or better.
Farley, a public health major at UofL’s School of Public Health and Information Sciences, graduated in 2016 from Highlands High School. She is the daughter of Mark and Jean Farley.

“It is wonderful to be a part of a program so dedicated to leadership and service,” said Farley. “It is wonderful to have been recognized as someone who strived to be involved in leadership positions and service opportunities in high school and I can’t wait to continue to grow in those areas.”
Farley was named a 2016 AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Finalist.
