Some really interesting soundbites coming from Steelers.com, as they take a "locker room look-back" on defensive back, Mike Mitchell.

Mitchell was the Covington Catholic transfer that led the Bluebirds to the state finals before being ruled ineligible by the KHSAA and was not allowed to play in the team's state final game.

  1. Great article! That was a great Highlands team! They were loaded! My son was a sophomore that year, they were so fun to watch! But if I remember correctly, Jordan Nevels was named MVP on that team? Mitchell was good but I just don't remember him being that good, and not the best player on that team. Nevels was All-State and easily the best defensive player in the district that year. Great article nonetheless, but a little inaccurate. Go Bluebirds! We'll be back on top soon!
