As a teenager and young adult, Sweetin struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for more than a decade, until motherhood helped her get clean – and now, the former child star is devoted to sharing her story with others.
“We are pleased to welcome Jodie Sweetin to campus to share her personal journey and to inspire others caught in the grip of addiction,” said Leah Koch, coordinator of programming at NKU’s Student Union.

NKU will welcome Sweetin to campus on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 29 to share her experiences in a community gripped by the scourge of heroin addiction. The event begins at 7 p.m. in Greaves Concert Hall, located in the Fine Arts Building on NKU’s Highland Heights campus.
The event is free of charge for NKU students, faculty, and staff. Tickets are available to members of the community for $5 and are available in Room 111 of the Votruba Student Union, located on Kenton Drive. A limited number of tickets may also be available for purchase at the door.
All ticket proceeds benefit NKY Hates Heroin, the community organization battling against the region’s heroin crisis.
