BREAKING: Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky Selected to Auction Ultra-Rare Bourbon

Today, Buffalo Trace notified the Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky that they were one of only two hundred charities across the country selected to auction an extremely limited vintage of O.F.C. Bourbon Whiskey. The announcement comes days before their annual Happy Feet Ball, taking place on Saturday evening at the Newport Syndicate.

Because of the timing of the event, the winner of this auction will be one of the very first to own this rare bourbon.  The special release is comprised of only 200 bottles; 100 bottles from the year 1980, 50 bottles from 1982, and 50 bottles from 1983.

“These vintages are certainly unique and special whiskeys. We hope this O.F.C. collection can pay tribute to the many years gone by here at the Distillery. Each vintage has a story to tell indeed,” stated Kris Comstock from Buffalo Trace Distillery. “To offer this first release to charitable organizations for their fundraising efforts makes this even more rewarding. We expect bottles to raise upwards of $10,000 each for worthy causes.”

Proceeds from this bottle will benefit the Charities Guild's Shoe Fund.  The Shoe Fund has provided shoes to underprivileged children for over 25 years. CGNK partners with area schools, churches and social service agencies to identify children in need, then distributes a voucher for the child to purchase a new pair of shoes.

Tickets for the Happy Feet Ball are on sale at http://www.charitiesguildnky.com/.

Only a limited amount of tickets remain, so act quickly. The bottle will be presented for silent auction beginning at 8:00 p.m.  The silent auction will close at 10:30 p.m.  Absentee bids with verification will be accepted until 8:00 pm. on Saturday via email at nkycharitiesguild@yahoo.com.
