Gov. Bevin Appoints Fort Thomas Woman To Kentucky Commission

Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed Karen F. Herdina, of Fort Thomas, to the Kentucky Commission on Services and Supports for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Other Developmental Disabilities.

Herdina is a business consultant and will represent business leaders on the commission. She shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2020.

Bevin also made the following appointments to the commission:

Stella W. Beard (Dunnville), Michael Shannon Smith (Brooksville), Rita D. Wooton (Hyden), Berlinda A. Bazzell (Scottsville), Virginia Lee Payne (Smiths Grove) and Christopher Derek George (Somerset).

This commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Governor and the General Assembly concerning the needs of persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities through developing a statewide strategy to increase access to community-based services and supports for persons with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
