Fort Thomas Christmas Tree Recycling

Although Campbell County has scrapped their Christmas tree recycling program, the City of Fort Thomas will again be providing residents with curbside pickup of Christmas trees on the three Tuesdays following December 25th.

Kirk Hunter, Principal Planner for Campbell County Planning, Zoning and Building Department told Fort Thomas Matters that the county eliminated that program from their budget.

"We've been advising people to contact their city to find disposal options," he said.

In Fort Thomas, residents have three options to dispose or recycle their tree:

1. Place your tree out with your weekly trash for Rumpke to pick up.
2. Drop your tree off in Tower Park in the parking lot adjacent to the V.A. Hospital for city recycling (area will be marked).
3. Place your tree at the curb in front of your house for pickup and recycling on Tuesday, January 3rd, and Tuesday, January 10th.

The trees will be chipped and used for mulch in our parks.
