“I am grateful for the opportunity to be the next boys soccer head coach at Highlands,” said Neidert. “I was fortunate to be a part of the team’s success last season and am hopeful that last season is just a sign of things to come. The student athletes and I are eager to get started and work toward the levels of excellence associated with Highlands.”

“Chad brought an enthusiasm and passion for soccer and Highlands to the interview. He is well-respected in the soccer community and stood out as the best fit to lead our program moving forward,” said Matt Haskamp, HHS athletic director. “Our committee had a very challenging job to select the next coach as we had many outstanding candidates.”

Niedert replaces Matthew Winkler and will immediately begin serving as head coach for the 2017-18 school year. Winkler, who held the position since 2010, resigned to spend more time with family.
