FTM file.
Two Highlands organizations are merging.

The Highlands High School Alumni Association (HHSAA) and the Fort Thomas Education Foundation (FTEF) have joined forces in an effort to expand the support and resources offered to our alumni, schools and community. A new committee within the FTEF is being formed which will seek to guide the HHS Alumni Association in a direction consistent with the mission of FTEF and the tradition of the HHS Alumni Association.

The Highlands High School Alumni Association will continue to plan event under the FTEF in order to engage with alumni and friends.

Please join us for the HHS Alumni/FTIS Teacher of the Year Dinner on Saturday, April 29th, at the Highland Country Club. For reservations for the event, please contact the HHS Alumni Association at HHSAA1891@gmail.com, visit www.FTEF.org or call 859.815.2004.

The HHS Alumni Association committee of the FTEF will be spearheaded by Ann Meyer (class of 1974) and Kevin Duke (class of 2003) and will include many volunteers from the former HHSAA Board as well as many new active volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering, finding out more, or have any questions about the Alumni Association Committee, please email us at HHSAA1891@gmail.com or visit the FTEF website at www.FTEF.org.  “We are excited at what the future will bring as we work together to continue our past work to give back to the Fort Thomas Independent Schools,” says Kevin Duke.

The Highlands High School Alumni Association was founded in 1987 with a stated purpose “to encourage, enhance and reward academic excellence in Highlands High School.” Over the years, the Alumni Association has donated nearly $50,000 to the Fort Thomas Independent Schools, graduates, and school organizations.

Since inception, FTEF has given back more than $11M to the schools and the Alumni Association has continued a tradition of awarding top alumni, teachers, and students as well. With the combined talents and energy, we feel we can enhance both our missions.
