Highlands Football Team Offers Annual “Spring Clean” For FTM Writer

Jennifer Fields Summer.
The Highlands High School football team will hold their annual Spring Clean on Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 1-5pm. The annual Spring Clean is an opportunity for members of the football team to help area residents with chores, including yard work, cleaning out a garage, or working around the house or business, for a donation. For the safety of the players, we do not allow them to use power equipment or power tools.

This year, all proceeds will benefit Jennifer Fields Summer.  Jenn, as she is known by friends, is a 1996 graduate of Highlands High School. She studied photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and studied at Northern Kentucky University.  She was recently hired as a writer and photographer at EBTH, an estate sale marketplace. Jenn also writes for Fort Thomas Matters and does freelance family photography.

Read our profile about what she's going through, here.

Recently surviving brain surgery to remove tumors, Jenn faces an uphill battle to beat stage IV metastatic breast cancer. As Jenn begins the challenging journey of daily radiation followed by 12 weeks of chemotherapy, she continues to have a positive attitude.  She lives in Fort Thomas with her son Dakota, a 7th-grader at Highlands Middle School.

To book the service, you must be within a 5-mile radius of Highlands High School as many players do not drive.

For more information or to schedule your “Spring Clean,” please contact Coach Brian Weinrich at Brian.Weinrich@fortthomas.kyschools.us or 859.240.7119. Please provide your name, address, phone number, job request and how many workers you will need.
