HeartChase raises more than $274,000

The May 20 HeartChase NKY, which started at Newport on the Levee, raised more than $274,000 for the American Heart Association and remains the largest HeartChase in the nation. HeartChase is a community adventure game in which teams of two to five people compete in a chase through checkpoint challenges using a Mobile Game App.

More than 800 people participated in the annual event, which is sponsored by St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

“This is certainly a point of pride for our region,” said Amanda Mills, Sr. HeartChase director at the American Heart Association. “More and more people each year are hearing about this great family-friendly event, and we just keep growing. It’s a great way to get exercise, complete healthy challenges and raise money for the American Heart Association.”

“It’s a great sign that this community is committed to improving its heart health, and this is always a chance to do that in a fun way,” said Bruno Giacomuzzi, Senior Vice President and COO at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. “How great is it that people are outside, being active and raising money for a great cause?”
