Barb Thomas, owner of Fort Thomas Central, was one of the founders of Art Around Towne back in 2015. Thomas promises that this year, though, will be special because Fort Thomas is celebrating its 150-year birthday. Says Thomas, “several businesses and vendors are joining in on the celebration by offering promotions and gift items leading into the week-long (sesquicentennial) celebration in July.”
For example, Schone Kitchen Design will be giving away two tickets to the Fort Thomas Sesquicentennial Farm to Fort Dinner, valued at $300. To enter, attendees at the June 16 Art Around Towne should visit Schone Kitchen Design’s showroom and enter the drawing. Additionally, Fort Thomas Central is offering limited edition prints and gift items created by local artist Lucie Rice. These prints celebrate the 150 years of Fort Thomas and are available exclusively at Fort Thomas Central through the end of July. Everyone will be able to register to win a Limited Edition Fort Thomas 150th Illustration by Lucie Rice. Stop by Fort Thomas Central during Art Around Towne to register.

Tracy Davis, owner of Tracy Davis State Farm and member of the Renaissance Board of Fort Thomas, has been an advocate and excited participant in this event for the previous two years. Davis says, “As a fellow business owner and a resident of Fort Thomas, I appreciate being part of this – Barb rocks it and the City does whatever they can to support it and allow it to grow. We have an incredible city.”
