Fort Thomas Sesquicentennial - Activities for July 5

Wednesday, July 5: Find your Sport in the Fort Thomas Olympics 

Join the Fort Thomas Olympics. Pick your favorite sport. We have flag football, Punt, Pass and Kick, baseball, soccer ,and yoga in the park. Take a look at the calendar, call the coach to sign up and have fun.

All of these are free events. No registration needed. 

5:00 -8:00 PM: Soccer Skills Challenge at HHS Soccer Field– (Don McEntire 513-403-9549)
5:30 PM:  Fort Thomas Jr. Football League:  Punt, Pass & Kick Competition  at HHS Football Field.  Registration form at (Dave Simons 859-393-7136)
6:00, 7:00 & 8:00 PM:  Little League K-3 Flag Football Rossford Park (Kevin Vennefron 513-520-5534)
6:00 PM:  11U All-Star Baseball Game at Tower Park (Joe Grimme 859-468-1937)
7:30 PM:  Father/Son Baseball Game at Tower Park (Joe Grimme 859-468-1937)
5:00 – 9:00 PM: Par 3 Corn Hole Golf Tourney (Chuck Keller 859-240-7555)

Other Events:
6:00 PM: C. C. Weber Architectural Tour of Briarcliff subdivision lead by Nick Ellison. Meet at the pocket park at Inverness for a free guided tour of the houses that C. C. Weber designed and built. He designed over 130 buildings (homes, schools, churches) in Fort Thomas as well as the Governor’s Mansion in Frankfort. He is a true gem of the city.

6:45 PM: Yoga in the Park with Mint Yoga’s Tiffany Brennen. 
While the athletes are competing, others can unwind.  Join Mint Yoga for Yoga in the Park. Relax and prepare to listen to the concert.

5:00 – 9:00 PM: Par 3 Cornhole Golf Tourney.
It’s Par 3 golf except with cornhole. Join us for a fun new game in the park. Meet at the Playground Pavilion for great fun. Get a group to compete and have some goofy fun! (Chuck Keller 859-240-7555)

8:00 PM: School of Rock Concert.
School of Rock isn’t just about creating killer musicians with a lasting love for all things rock. Because life isn’t a solo act, we’re equally focused on creating awesome bands of friends and musicians. We’re as much about orchestrating a community full of cool experiences as we are about building confidence, extraordinary teamwork, and achieving excellence through our unique teaching method. This group is an amazing source of local talent that must be heard.
