TANK Bus Crashes Into Wall on S. Fort Thomas Avenue

A T.A.N.K. bus crashed this morning on S. Fort Thomas Avenue at around 8:15 a.m.

No one was on the bus when the crash occurred and no one else was hurt.

Fort Thomas Police Lt. Rich Whitford told Fort Thomas Matters that it was caused by driver inattention.

The driver hit a stone wall and snapped a utility pole, which came to rest near a home on Greene St.

"You could tell how well those old stone walls were built back in the day," said Whitford. "Thank God for that because had it not been, the bus was heading straight for the house."

No charges have been filed as police continue to investigate the crash.

  1. It is an incident like this that is concerning for all the patrons sitting on the patio seats along the midway district. Would like to see the city implement some type of barrier to prevent such a thing from happening. It can be done with minimal impact to the aesthetics.
