The Jared Lorenzen Project to Debut

The Now Lets Get Fit Foundation has teamed up with former NFL QB Jared Lorenzen on its mission to combat obesity by instilling health and wellness through fitness activity and nutrition. Battling obesity as a child and subsequently his entire adulthood, Jared understands first hand how obesity impacts all aspects of your life. Now over 500 pounds, Jared is compelled not only to make changes to save his life but to share his story in an effort to inspire and encourage those who are also affected by obesity.

Growing up, Jared would bond with food. A typical daily food consumption routine consisted of two 2-liters of soda, multiple frozen dinners, take-out dishes, and entire boxes of Little Debbie snacks. Now at the age of 36, and a father of two it’s now or never for Jared to change his life. “I want to be there for my kids. I want to see them graduate, get married and have kids of their own. I don’t want my kids graduating high school and their father has died of a heart attack from being obese.”

A QB at heart Jared not only wants to conquer this journey he also wants to lead communities who face the same daily struggles as himself. The goal will be to share his progress and inspire others to get out of the house and get active. Jared will take the mobile gym to different communities throughout Kentucky, encouraging groups to join him.

Now Lets Get Fit and Jared have developed a platform that will deliver weekly workouts, nutritional plans and meal preps that will enable the public to follow along and join. People all across the globe whether they have a personal battle with obesity, indirectly through a loved one, or just want to be a part of shifting the dynamics will benefit from this platform. The program is family friendly and designed to get everyone moving with no age restrictions, a child can do the program with their grandparents.

The platform will be live at starting September 18, 2017. All funds donated will go towards combating obesity programs, the development and maintenance of the platform and assisting with the mobile gym community workouts.

  1. This is the best thing I've ever heard of to fight obesity as long as it is affordable. There are lots of programs out there but the cost is too high to attract people. This program could save many lives!
