This year's Luke Muller Golf Outing will take place Saturday, August 19 at the Kenton County Golf Course with an after party at Covington Turners.
Luke Muller, son of Fort Thomas resident John Muller, was diagnosed with Lymphoma as a preschooler in July of 2007. The first golf outing was organized by family and friends as a way to provide monetary support for the Muller family. Today, Luke is healthy. But the outing continues to support new families each year as they struggle with similar hospital costs. Last year was one of the biggest events to date, and organizers hope to make the 11th outing the biggest yet.
"It has turned into something we never dreamed it could be," Muller says. "One of our dear friends, Tim Price, started the outing for Luke—neither have ever looked back. The power of the outing is twofold. One, the people that began this for us have never quite pushing forward and two, each year's beneficiary has a team dedicated to making it special, and then those groups return year after year."

• $100 per person for golf, lunch and course games

"It has made the third weekend in August something many people look forward to each year," Muller says. "A day that provides some hope, some celebration, some light in a dark time. We are very appreciative of participating with Fort Thomas Provides early on and the many corps volunteers. These are people most of you know. These are the people who make Fort Thomas and Northern Kentucky such unbelievable places to live. There is so much caring, generosity and heart here. We will keep working hard for the LMGO to go and benefit more people through the years."
