“Providing a safe campus for students is a priority for NKU and our University Police Department, and we are fortunate to have a strong partnership with Highland Heights,” said Dan Nadler, NKU vice president of student affairs. “The close working relationship between the university and the city fosters this environment beyond our campus boundaries. We all share a common goal to make NKU and Highland Heights a vibrant and safe community.”
NKU strives for campus safety with the use of lighting, several blue light emergency phones and a 24-hour police escort system that anyone on campus can access. Highland Heights was also 10th in Safewise’s list of the 20 safest cities in Kentucky based on FBI crime data.
