Once a year in the fair land of Fort Thomas, there is a
gathering of little children at the Castle of Woodfill Elementary School. The
children have a magical morning of fun: a feast of breakfast delights, magical
music, a grand performance by many Princesses and Superheroes, to play games,
make crafts and chat with the Princesses and Superheroes.

Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9-11a.m. at Woodfill
Elementary School is the 3rd Annual Princesses and Superhero
Breakfast fundraiser for the Highland High School Varsity Dance Team. The event
costs $20 per child and $10 per adult. Adults are not required to attend unless
the child is 3 years old or younger.
“I love seeing the kids’ faces light up when they see their
favorite characters. They always have so much fun dancing with the princesses
and running around with the superheroes. The show after the meal is
entertaining for everyone – parents too,” said Amanda Broering, senior Varsity
Dance Team member.
To reserve your seat, send your reservation information and
payment by November 3 to: HHSDT; c/o Becky Kyle; 2400 Memorial Parkway; Fort

Katie Buecker, senior Varsity Dance Team member, says, “I
can’t wait to participate in the dance team’s princess and superhero breakfast,
because after helping out with it for the past two years, I’ve seen firsthand
how the kids react to seeing their role models on stage and getting to meet
them. Their faces just light up! It’ll be an amazing experience for me to be
one of those princesses on stage making the magical moment happen for them.”
The proceeds from the event helps the dance team fund their
trip to Orlando, FL for the National Dance Academy Nationals Dance Competition.
They have been attending this competition for many years and last year finished
with their highest ranking ever, 6th place overall in Hip Hop.
Schools from around the World attend the competition.
The Highlands Dance Team
also perform at home football and basketball games throughout the year and
compete at local and state competitions. For more information about the HHS
