Local Girl Scouts attend the Greater Cincinnati Go Red Girl Scout Patch Program | St. Elizabeth Healthcare Fort Thomas

About 122 girls from 19 Girl Scouts troops throughout Greater Cincinnati attended the Go Red Girl Scout Patch Program Interactive Workshop on Oct. 28 at Citi in Florence, Ky.

St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Citi and the American Heart Association (AHA) played host to a free workshop that allowed Daisies, Brownies and Juniors to earn patches. The morning included multiple interactive activities, including a Zumba class, learning hands only CPR and a nutrition workshop called “Rethink Your Drink.”

St. Elizabeth, Citi and the AHA have partnered with the Girl Scouts to educate young girls about their hearts and the importance of keeping them healthy. The goal of the Greater Cincinnati Go Red Girl Scout Patch Program is to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke and the risks that it poses for women.
