Share Your Vision for Fort Thomas

Fort Thomas residents are invited share their ideas to help identify and shape plans for the city’s future. Links for six short surveys, each corresponding to an aspect of the Fort Thomas Community Plan, are available on the plan website.

A successful kick-off meeting in September attracted close to 50 residents. Six committees formed and started working on the plan right away. Soon after, city officials and project partners CT Consultants launched the website to share information and keep track of the latest developments.

Committee minutes and upcoming meeting details are shared on the site. In October and November the committees completed their survey questions and S.W.O.T. analysis in their specific areas to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

The committees are:

  • Land Use and Zoning
--> zoning issues, form-based code and economic development
  • Transportation and Connectivity connectivity across the community and transportation issues
  • Parks and Open Space  recreation and green space needs
  • Utilities and City-owned Facilities  non-park city facilities and infrastructure systems such as water, electric, gas, telecommunications, networks and other technologies
  • Regional Partnerships and Collaboration  working with adjacent communities to identify regional needs and how Fort Thomas plans can fit into the larger picture
  • Funding and Implementation funding resources, available revenue and possibilities for potential revenue streams

  • All residents are encouraged to complete the surveys. A link to the Community Plan website can be found on the Fort Thomas homepage. For those who want to get more involved, committees are still open. Contact City Administrator Ron Dill for more information.
