Five People Killed in Cold Spring Car Crash

Lone survivor hospitalized with severe injuries


Five people, two of them juveniles, died Tuesday night in a crash between two cars on Alexandria Pike, according to a news release from Cold Spring police.

The only survivor was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

According to police, a silver sedan carrying two adults and two juveniles drifted over the center median while traveling northbound on Alexandria Pike; it struck a gold sedan traveling the opposite direction.


All four people inside the silver car died, as did a woman who had been riding passenger in the gold car, police said.

The gold car’s driver, the only person to survive the crash, was hospitalized with critical injuries, police said.

None of the victims’ names were immediately released.
