Assistant Principal Named at Highlands Middle School


Highlands Middle School has selected Josh Feldmann to fill the position of assistant principal. Feldmann is currently a 5th-grade teacher at Johnson Elementary School, where he began his teaching career in 2003.

Feldmann earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, master’s degree in Education with an Endorsement for Teaching Gifted Education and his Rank I in Instructional Leadership from Northern Kentucky University.

Principal Michael Howton stated, “I’m excited and energized to have Josh Feldmann joining our Highlands Middle School community. Throughout the interview process, Mr. Feldmann showed a great deal of passion for our district, heartfelt desire to help all children succeed and energy around qualities being emphasized in our Highlands Middle School community vision. 


He comes highly recommended by many of those he has worked with and all speak highly to his dedication as a teacher at Johnson Elementary to be someone staff, students and the community can count on for support.  He is going to be a fantastic addition to our already amazing staff!”   

“Josh Feldmann has great energy, joy and strength and will be an asset to Highlands Middle School,” added Melissa Trimbach, teacher member of the School Based Decision Making Council.  “We are looking forward to a tremendous year where we all continue to grow as leaders and learners as we move towards our Portrait of a Graduate.”  

“I am honored to be a part of the Highlands Middle School team. The faculty, staff and students are spectacular and I cannot wait to help continue the tradition of excellence they have built,” said Feldmann.


Feldmann and his wife Beth live in Erlanger with their three sons, aged 7, 4 and 20 months. He will begin serving as assistant principal on July 1, 2018.
