Kevin Nieporte Assumes Role of Highlands Interim Athletic Director

Matthew Haskamp Leaves to Take Same Role at Indian Hill

Kevin Nieporte, Highlands Middle School (HMS) teacher and athletic director, will serve as interim athletic director at Highlands High School (HHS) following the resignation of current athletic director Matthew Haskamp.

Haskamp leaves Highlands after an 11-year tenure in which he served in roles including physical education teacher, HHS assistant principal, Moyer Elementary principal and, lastly, as assistant principal and athletic director at HHS.

“We wish Matthew nothing but the best and thank him for his eleven years in our district,” said Superintendent Karen Cheser. “Indian Hill is getting an educator who is a proven, student-centered leader.”

Nieporte, a HHS graduate and current HMS science teacher and athletic director, will transition into the interim position beginning June 4, 2018.


In the coming weeks, the HHS School Based Decision Making Council along with school administration will select a candidate to fill the position longterm.
