Veteran's Day Celebration Will Add to the Charters of Freedom Installation

Fort Thomas's Charters of Freedom monument will be the focal point for this year's Veteran's Day event November 10.

A special event on Saturday, November 10, at the Charters of Freedom monument in Tower Park will include the installation of a bronze plaque honoring those who have donated to make the project a reality. The event will take place at noon.

Mayor Eric Haas announced the Veteran's Day plans at the September 17 council meeting. He shared that there is still time to donate to the project and get your name engraved on the plaque. Those donating $1,000 or above will also have the opportunity to add something to a time capsule the will be installed in the monument.

Roofing, gutters, siding, painting.
Although the project was installed last year in time for the city's Sesquicentennial, the plaque, landscaping and other finishing touches are still in process.

The mayor invited everyone to come out and honor the veterans.
