Filmed in Fort Thomas and NKY: you can watch Zac Efron as Ted Bundy today on Netflix

Today is the day that Zac Efron, and Fort Thomas make their debut to Netflix subscribers, as Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is released.

Although it's not entirely clear whether there will still be a theatrical run, it's possible it could have a release this fall.

Netflix purchased the rights to the movie after it made its debut at The Sundance Film Festival. The deal was worth $9 million.

“Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” tells the story of Ted Bundy, who confessed to 30 murders in the 1970s. The movie stars Efron as Bundy and also features Lily Collins, John Malkovich and Jim Parsons.

The movie filmed on Woodside Place and First Baptist Church in Fort Thomas.

Corey Kramer a Cold Spring native and Bishop Brossart High School alum, was Efron's body double.

The film has earned a 60 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the "critics' consensus" determining: "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile often transcends its narrative limitations through sheer force of Zac Efron's compulsively watchable performance."
