18th Annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon benefitting the Cris Collinsworth Proscan Fund to be held October 10, 2019
The Cris Collinsworth Proscan Fund (CCPF) announces Rachel Platten will perform at the 18th Annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon presented by Harold C. Schott Foundation, and The Albach, Wells and Dauer Group at Morgan Stanley. The event will be held at Duke Energy Convention Center October 10, 2019.
Rachel topped countless radio and iTunes charts worldwide, with her major label debut album “Wildfire” which also included the platinum Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Stand By You.” In 2017, Rachel Platten released her second full-length album for Columbia Records called Waves. Co-writing every song, and working with stellar songwriters and producers including Ryan Tedder, Stargate, Jason Evigan and Ian Kirkpatrick. Songs range from the shimmering unshackling of “Broken Glass,” to the sultry, infectious “Shivers.”
More intimate songs such as the bewitching “Collide,” the piano-tinged “Hands” and the album’s moving closer “Grace” reflect the unguarded side of the talented singer songwriter. Pregnant with her first child, Rachel released a song dedicated to her daughter ‘You Belong’ at the end of 2018 and is embarking on a nationwide arena tour with The Pentatonix this summer.
For 18 years, CCPF has served the greater Cincinnati community through its Pink Ribbon Centers and programs that are designed to lift women up and offer them access to top quality early detection services, diagnostics, education and support. The Cris Collinsworth ProScan Fund first engaged the community at their Pink Ribbon Luncheon in 2002, drawing a crowd of 600.
In 2018, the 17th Annual Pink Ribbon Luncheon sold out at 1,600 guests and has become a highly anticipated annual celebration. This event is the primary fundraiser for the Foundation, and supports all the breast cancer programs of the Cris Collinsworth Proscan Fund.
CCPF now operates three women’s imaging centers: the original on Red Bank Road, one in Over the Rhine, and most recently, a third center in Tri-County. Additionally, the Foundation manages several Pink Ribbon Programs, including Mammogram Match, Cruisin’ for a Cure providing patient transportation, Pink Ribbon Empowerment Program (PREP), Pink Ribbon Bag Program offering comfort and educational items to newly diagnosed patients, and the Pink Ribbon Survivor Circle.
