CVG is celebrating a restaurant revamp as it welcomes 8 new restaurants in both Concourse A and B... but these means goodbye for Panda Express, Hop & Cask and two Starbucks locations.The airport announced today in a press release that it has entered into a new contract with SSP America, a leading operator of food and beverage brands in travel locations worldwide.
The group will develop and operate the eight new spaces. Travelers will see a tailored mix of award-winning local and proprietary brands, anchored by industry-leading quick service national brands.
“We look forward to partnering with SSP to bring these new food concepts to CVG,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “The new concessions throughout CVG, both in food and retail, continue to elevate the customer experience for our passengers.”
The new food and beverage locations are expected to open early next year through early 2022.
Here are some of the new additions;
Two New Dunkin' Donuts: Two of the four Starbucks locations will be replaced with Dunkin' Donuts in both Concourse A and B.
Chick-fil-A Expands: Chick-fil-A in Concourse B will move to a larger location where the former Torn Basil restaurant was located.
A New Taco Place: Fuzzy's Taco Shop will move into Chick-fil-A location in Concourse B. The fast and casual restaurant offers popular, award-winning Mexican food with on-the-go options.
The Bourbon Kitchen: This regionally-focused restaurant is designed specifically for CVG by SSP America's Food Travel experts. It will feature a bourbon distillery tasting room experience with world-class Kentucky bourbons and a localized menu.
New Cafe/Bar: The Stella Artois/Urban Market in Concourse A will become a new cafe and bar with local Ohio brews and street eats in an urban setting.
New Italian Restaurant: CVG is welcoming Carmella's Modern Trattoria. This modern, Italian trattoria concept will replace Hop and Cask. It was also created just for CVG. It features a made from scratch dishes, pizzas, sandwiches, antipastas and more.
No More Panda Express: Sorry Chinese food fans -- Panda Express in Concourse A will be turned into Camden Food Co., a boutique brand designed specifically for travelers in an airport environment. It features fresh, modern, made-to-order and grab-and-go options.
