Dunkin' Cold Spring will open January 14

After a slight delay in construction, Dunkin Donuts' Cold Spring location will open on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 to the public.

The location is 4765 Alexandria Pike near Ripple Creek Road, just south of the Larosa's and the Total Health Dentistry Rachel Gold DMD dental office. Their hours will be 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.

Located at 18 N. Fort Thomas Ave. 

Cold Spring Planning and Zoning approved the plans in April. The Gilligan Company was the applicant. The building is 2,150 square feet and offer 31 total parking spots. Pat Gilligan is the owner and franchisee. He said his family, from Cincinnati, owns 27 Dunkin locations in Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus.

"We've been looking at Cold Spring for a while, with the proximity to NKU and we're really excited to be in this community," said Gilligan.

Gilligan said that the total investment is $1.4 million and will bring about 15 jobs to the area.


The Planning Commission granted a ten-foot landscape buffer for the applicant, which is zoned Neighborhood/Commercial in the city's comprehensive plan.

Gilligan said that two-thirds of his business occurs at his drive through and most of his business is in the morning, with coffee and donuts being the main items purchased.
