If things go as planned, Cold Spring will see a new IHOP (International House of Pancakes) and a new Pearle Vision Center location in the community in 2020.

The Cold Spring City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the stage plan, which outlines a conversion of a former bank on Crossroads Boulevard near O’Charley’s Restaurant.

The manager of the Florence IHOP location, Zach Meyer, confirmed the property has been purchased by the franchise company and plans are in development and moving forward for the Cold Spring location. At this time it is too early to set a date, but it is expected to happen in the first half of 2020.

IHOP is a wholly franchise-owned operation. The new location, along with other locations in Northern Kentucky and across the country, are owned by the Nazarian Enterprise Group, a multi-brand restaurant operator headquartered in Texas.

Within the next few months, a new Pearle Vision Center is set to go into the building at 4318 Alexandria Pike next to Panera Bread. Pearle Vision is also a franchise.

More information will be shared here as these stories unfold.
