As spring starts to unfold, news of new businesses in Alexandria comes pouring in.

After a brief delay due to some technical difficulties with a gas line, the new Domino’s at 7647 Alexandria has been up and running for about three weeks now. Manager Brian Kelly said business is booming.

The owners of Blue Roo Express Car Wash at 7010 Alexandria were reticent about their opening date or details but said they will announce their opening in the next few weeks.

Alexandria Zoning Administrator Carol Hofstetter confirmed a new Burkes outlet store is set to open in late spring or early summer in the building that formerly housed The County Market at 7109 Alexandria Pike in the Village Green Shopping Center. Burkes will take about half of the 42,000 square-foot building. No news yet on who will occupy the rest of the building.

Burkes is known as an outlet store for name clothing brands and housewares.
