Campbell Co. Inmate That Escaped In May Now Back In Jail

Escapee Jerry Iles is behind bars once more.

A Northern Kentucky man is now back behind bars after escaping from a work detail nearly 9 months ago.

In May 2019, 58-year-old Jerry Iles walked away from his work program with Campbell County Detention Center.

Jailer Jim Daley says Iles was picked up in eastern Kentucky and transported back to Campbell County on Tuesday, February 4.

Iles, who was serving time for Burglary, will now face new charges; escape and persistent felony.

Since 2001, Iles has been arrested several times on various charges including parole violations, robbery, I.D. theft and drug related charges.
