Barre Ft. Thomas Partners with No Kid Hungry to Help Provide for Children in Need

In a time of hardship, small local business rallies its community to help others

Despite having to close its doors temporarily and losing significant revenue due to COVID-19, barre3 Ft. Thomas is choosing to give generously by donating a portion of proceeds from all class packages sold to No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

"Every spring, we hold our annual class-package sale, but this year we find ourselves in unprecedented circumstances," says Jessica Donelan, owner of barre3 Ft. Thomas. "Giving generously is a core value that our studio has always upheld, each month donating a portion of our revenue to a local organization in need. During this challenging time, we have decided to join with barre3 on a national platform to help those in need on a grander scale."

Effective immediately, all class packages will be 10% off, and 10% of the proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry. Class packages are available in packs of 5 or 10 and can be used for barre3 Ft. Thomas's LIVESTREAM classes* while the studio is closed, or for in-studio classes when it reopens.

While COVID-19 has greatly affected all of us, its impact on some populations has been particularly devastating. With school closures in effect across the country, millions of children are suddenly without food. As of March 24th, due to school closures caused by the pandemic more than 234 million meals have been missed by kids in need--an already unthinkable number that will continue to grow. With barre3's partnership with No Kid Hungry, we can help offset the devastating impacts of COVID-19 by getting meals to kids in need.

"Our community has been amazing in rallying around us with incredible support. Even with the incredible support, things are still tough right now," says Jessica. "However, we recognize there are many people out there whose basic human needs are not being met. We can turn our attention to ourselves later. Now is the time to support others."
