In case you missed it, something pretty amazing happened over the weekend in Cold Spring.

Cold Spring Mayor Angelo Penque and the Cold Spring Police Department hosted a Cram the Cruiser event and within just 45 minutes, the cruiser was packed to capacity. The department even called in a public works truck to help hold additional donations for the event.

By the end of the event, both vehicles were jam-packed. Mayor Penque has opened the food drive to anyone in the area who needs assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The food drive will be hosted at the City Building at 5694 E. Alexandria Pike in Cold Spring until further notice Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

If you have questions about the Cold Spring food drive or how to get food assistance, call 859-441-9604.
