In the photo released via Facebook on Tuesday, the Newport Dog Park stated that things are still moving along and they will be accepting donations through Wednesday, April 15, for commemorative bricks in the park. The money will go towards a $30,000 fund to help pay for the park and necessary upkeep and future maintenance.

You can place an order here.

New features of the dog park will include;

  • More space than the original dog park
  • Separate small dog area
  • Easier vehicle access
  • Pet-friendly benches
  • Pet designed exercise elements
  • Concrete walking and jogging paths
  • Annual operating expenses for the park
  • Landscaping/ mulch / tree planting
  • Designated parking
  • Water Fountain and installation
  • Community activity board

Although the opening date has not been announced as all parks are shut down due to quarantine, the dog park will be open soon.
