Two Ways To Recognize Highlands Seniors Missing Out on Graduation

Graduation may not look like this for this year...but that doesn't mean we can't recognize all the hard work of our Highlands Seniors! (Img: FTM File)

By Jessie Eden

For those graduating from Highlands High School this year, this is most certainly not what they had in mind. But -- it's time to get creative and show these Seniors some love.

Here are three ways to do that;

1) SEND FORT THOMAS MATTERS A PICTURE by MAY 1

Fort Thomas Matters will be putting together a special article to honor graduating Seniors. To submit a senior's picture, simply follow one of these three steps.

Be sure to include full name, age and any college plans/ post high school plans and any well wishes for new grad!

(Please, no more than 150 words -- Please submit by May 1)

- Send it to the Fort Thomas Matters Facebook page via Facebook Messenger
- Send it to us via Twitter with a direct tweet @FTThomasMatters
- Email the photo to Jessie at jessicaCeden@gmail.com

2) ADOPT A SENIOR VIA FACEBOOK
Consider 'adopting' a Highlands Senior (or two) via the Facebook page below. The private group is organizing individuals to write letters of encouragement, give gifts or gift cards to graduation seniors.

You can request to join the Facebook group here. Below is a description of how the 'adopting' part of it will work;

"Let's all shower our seniors with some extra love! You can adopt a Senior, or two or three! You can mail them cards, or gift cards, or just a letter of encouragement. If you have a high school senior at Highlands High School, upload a photo and a few comments about your senior.

Once people comment, "I will adopt", then you can private message them the address of your Senior, and let the out-pouring of love begin! We are in no way affiliated with Highlands High School, simply trying to spread some love during a very tough time for these outstanding kids!"
