Fort Thomas Garden Club Spring Planting Kicks Off May 20

FTGC will be working on sprucing up the flower beds in town on May 20.

By Jessie Eden

The Fort Thomas Garden Club won't let quarantine stop their beautification efforts in Fort Thomas. On May 20, the group will kick off their Spring Planting in the middle of town while following social distancing guidelines.

In the spirit of being safe yet celebrating their efforts, the group even has floral face masks with FTGC embroidered on the front.

They have adjusted how they'll be doing things though -- instead of a group working on a flower bed, there will just be one person working per flower bed in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

FTGC donates decorations and spruces up the tree at Inverness Park.

The Fort Thomas Garden Club's efforts and generous donations of plant materials for medians,
hanging baskets and planters throughout town certainly bring a bit of life to these spaces. The FT Garden Club is also responsible for designing and donating decorations for the holiday tree in Inverness Park each December.
