Highlands Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

in the 2018 state quarterfinals. (Img: Allen Ramsey, DWCPhoto.com)

Highlands High School announces its Spring Athletic Signings for the following athletes who will sign letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers. Due to Covid-19 social distancing, we are
unable to hold in-person signings for these athletes. Each will also be recognized at the Highlands High
School senior awards ceremony.

Stop searching, start finding.

Jacob Brass (football) attending Georgetown University, KY"Jacob is one of the most coachable, selfless, instinctive, hardest working players I have had the pleasure to coach. Georgetown College is not only getting a great football player, but they are getting an even better person. We wish Jacob continued success in everything he does!" -- Brian Weinrich, Head Football Coach
Margaret Hinegardner (soccer) attending Hanover College, IN"Hanover is getting the best of both worlds in Maggie! She is an outstanding student-athlete who will be a leader in the classroom as well as in goal." -- Alex Dean, Head Girls Soccer Coach
Collin Hollingsworth (baseball) attending University of Alabama -- Huntsville, AL"We are extremely proud of Collin as he is the definition of a student-athlete. Through hard work, dedication and perseverance, he has earned the chance to compete at the next level." -- Jeremy Baioni, Head Baseball Coach
Elijah Stevie (soccer) attending University of Cincinnati -- Clermont, OH"Elijah was a significant contributor at the varsity level during our past two runs in the state tournament. We are excited that he will have the opportunity to contribute at the next level and are thankful for the mark he has made on our program." -- Chad Niedert, Head Boys Soccer Coach
Abby Whitney (cheer) attending University of Cincinnati, OH"Abby's dedication to the sport was evident to her teammates. She showed up to every practice, game, and competition always giving 100% for her team. We look forward to seeing her cheer on the Bearcats." -- Elise Carter, Cheer Coach

"We are proud of these five hard-working student-athletes and wish them all the best at their new schools. They bring with them a sense of pride, tenacious spirit, and character. We are proud to call them graduates of Highlands High School, appreciate their outstanding efforts, and will be their fans always!" -- Kevin Nieporte, Highlands High School Athletic Director
