Magic Realms, the virtual reality arcade located in Fort Thomas Plaza next to Barre3 Fort Thomas, announced on Saturday via Facebook that it would be closing its doors on July 25.

The year-old business, located at 90 Alexandria Pike, stated in the post that it was hard to bounce back after the Covid-19 quarantine. "We tried to make this work after the lock down was lifted, but it has become clear that we are not going to be able to dig out of the hole left after three months of being shut down....we thank those of you that have been loyal customers from the bottom of our hearts and sincerely wish it hadn't come to this."

The space itself featured several 8 x 8 bays, each equipped with a gaming PC, HTC Vive headset and controllers. Guests also enjoyed their pick of over 50 games to play.

Over Memorial Day Weekend in 2019, Magic Realms held a special Open House event for family and friends.
