The annual festival, which has taken place for the past 35 years, cancelled its traditional event and replaced it with a drive-thru pop-up Lobster Shop. In a statement, organizers cited government mandates related to Covid-19 as the reason for the cancellation. "Due to government mandates, we made the difficult decision to cancel The 2020 Great Inland Seafood Festival. We will be unable to enjoy all the fresh seafood, cold drinks, and live music as we have every August for the past 35 years."
But - you can still get your lobster fix!
Next weekend, August 14 through the 15th, you'll be able to order whole lobsters and pick them up right along Riverboat Row.
Lobster options include;
- $10.95 live Maine Lobster
- $10.95 cooked Whole Maine Lobster with drawn butter
- $14.95 for a whole meal (complete with Lobster, drawn butter, red potatoes, corn, and a cold bottle of water)
Pick-up details will be included with your checkout information. At Checkout, you will select a date and one-hour time slot for pick up.
