The annual Merchants & Music Festival has been postponed by Fort Thomas Renaissance and St. Elizabeth. This would have been the 16th year for the event.

The event was supposed to take place on September 26 this year. It has now been moved to 2021.  But - don't worry, the official statement on the event says that Bret Michaels will still return next year. "It is with regret that the City of Fort Thomas announces the postponement of this year’s Merchants & Music Bands Against Cancer festival. Fortunately, Bret Michaels has agreed to return on September 25, 2021. We hope to keep the same line-up for next year’s event."

The September event would have also included performers David Tucker, originally from nearby Augusta, KY, and local bands; The Leftovers, and Mad Costanza. Bret Michaels last played the concert in 2015 to a record-breaking crowd.

Merchants & Music usually consists of several live music acts, a huge Kids Zone, food trucks, lots of healthcare booths, Fort Thomas and other community merchants, an impressive silent auction and raffle.

In 2019, St. Elizabeth and Fort Thomas Renaissance combined forces to add the 'Bands Against Cancer' entity to Merchants & Music to raise funds fro the new St. Elizabeth Cancer Center in Northern Kentucky.
