Fort Thomas Farmers' Market Welcomes New Bread Vendor, Celebrates 'Kentucky Proud' Produce

By Lori Greis
Fort Thomas Farmers' Market

With the arrival of the month of September, fall is on the way and there are FIVE more markets in the 2020 Market Season! Did you know that the Fort Thomas Farmers’ Market is a KENTUCKY PROUD Market? What does that mean?

Kentucky Proud

Kentucky Proud products are locally sourced, locally raised products. Each time you purchase from a farmer, vendor or market with the Kentucky Proud label, you are shopping local, keeping the profits from your purchases in your local community. Kentucky Proud foods are raised, grown, or processed in Kentucky by Kentuckians, and every purchase supports local farm families while providing the freshest products to you.

We are blessed to have the support of our community and our customers, and it shows in the weekly sales. The Fort Thomas Farmers Market brings in an average of $7,700 per week during the early growing season to $15,000 per week during the height of the market season, all profits going directly to our farmers and vendors. We cannot thank you enough for shopping local!

In other news, we would like to welcome Kentucky Millstone to the Market for the month of September. Kentucky Millstone will be providing bread for our Market while Blue Oven is rebuilding their business.
