A local brewery is helping Kentucky with its poll worker shortage in a unique way.
Wooden Cask Brewery, located at 629 York Street in Newport, has partnered with three other breweries that are a part of the Kentucky Guild of Brewers and Secretary of State Michael Adams to create special messages on their cans and bottles of beer to recruit poll workers for November's election.
The Kentucky Guild of Brewers is a nonprofit organization that acts as a singular voice and advocate fro the Kentucky brewing industry. The group is actively involved with brewing related legislation, governmental administration and promoting its member breweries through events and media coverage.
In a comical tweet about the partnership, Secretary Adams said;
According to an article by Spectrum, each label has a QR code that leads to govoteky.com where people can register to vote and apply to be a poll worker.
