Highlands High School Ranks High on Niche Regional List

Highlands High School continues to rank high across the state and the region.

The Fort Thomas Independent Schools District ranks number one in Kentucky school district rankings, but now the district’s Highlands High has also made the list of top 10 public high schools in the Greater Cincinnati area, according to 

Highlands ranks number eight on a list of 25 top Greater Cincinnati public high schools, out of 79 schools overall in the region, and is number three in the state out of a pool of 238 schools.

Highlands made high marks on’s other rankings, making the top ten in the state in the areas of best public high school teachers, best college prep, best schools for athletes and best for STEM subjects.

Campbell County High School also made the list of top public high schools at number 19.

Other Northern Kentucky schools on the regional list of top public high schools are Beechwood High School coming in number 10 and Dixie Heights High at number 22 in Kenton County. In Boone County, Cooper High School (14) and Ryle High School (15) made the top 25 list.
