Flea in the Fort will bring handcrafted market to Tower Park

Fort Thomas Mess Hall. FTM file.

Local shoppers looking for open-air commerce will soon have another option to contribute to their local artisan scene.

Meet Ethan and the team. Click here.

A new city-wide event will invite local crafters to sell their handmade goods in outside in the grass area of the Fort Thomas Mess Hall, located at 801 Cochran Street at Tower Park.

Held on the first Sunday of the month in May, June and August from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the city will host up to 50 booth spots for local vendors to showcase their homespun goods for shoppers to purchase. In addition to the commerce, there will be food, beer and music available.

Flea in the Fort replaces Art Around Towne, which is traditionally held once a month during the summer months in the city's Central Business District.

If you're interested in become a vendor at Flea in the Fort, you can view the vendor application here. Booths will cost vendors $30.

The dates of the events fall on May 2, June 6 and August 1.

  1. This has nothing in common with flea markets. Why the name?
