The local family carpentry business you need to know if you're looking to improve your home

The word is out. Custom Carpentry, owned by Bill and Jesse Harris, are booking jobs now for spring to make your home more livable in a time when we have been homebound more than ever.

Bill and Jesse Harris.

The bright signs that pop up in a neighbors yard might have you wondering – is it a new porch?  Possibly a deck?  Or did your friends decide on that room addition they had been thinking about and mentioned the last time you were over?

In the last two years alone, 35 projects in Fort Thomas were completed by the talented and seasoned Harrises  of Custom Carpentry who always go that extra mile.

They received a call where a couple on Alpine Drive needed a carport rebuilt- they were on it and rebuilt it to code and did concrete work for them as well.

There are porches on N. Ft Thomas Ave, Highland Ave, S. Ft Thomas Ave, and Tremont Ave that each showcase their commitment to details with their hand made stairs and railings.

Those handmade stairs and railings are most definitely a part of the numerous decks they have designed and constructed.   Homeowners give them an idea and Jesse takes their idea and helps design the finished project.

"We can pretty well build anything someone challenges us with," said Bill.

Has life brought you the opportunity to have an elderly or special needs loved-one move in with the family?  Custom Carpentry can help you with a customized wheelchair ramp like the one on Summit Ave.
Are you working from home now?  Jesse can help you design and create a home office in an unused basement area like the beautifully finished and personalized one on Altamont Ave.

Outside of Fort Thomas in the last two years, they have completed a river camp addition in Melbourne, a 2-story room addition in Norwood, a super cool deck for an A-frame home in Anderson of a high school friend of Jesse’s, decks in Alexandria, Edgewood, Crescent Springs, Taylor Mill and historically accurate work on homes in Newport and Bellevue to name just a few.

Years ago, Bill Harris intentionally chose the name “Custom” Carpentry.  Every project is a unique and customized design that Bill and Jesse work with their customers to achieve.  They are accredited with the Home Builders Association and have worked hard to achieve and hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and a 5 Star rating on Angie’s List.

Custom Carpentry can be reached at 513-205-4020, make sure to mention Fort Thomas Matters.
